Seasonality

Finally sense has prevailed. It took a seriously large push of persuasion from mother nature who decided that below zero temperatures were appropriate for the weekend, to match the snow that’s been sitting for the last week or so.

No more of this bull-headed “its not winter” pretence – I went skiing.

Despite looking like a spider that had four of its legs removed, I managed to enjoy myself. I only face planted a couple of times, and by the end of the weekend I felt like I could glide far enough that there was an advantage to my skis compared to walking.

Skate skiing is really fun. And really hard. I don't know how they managed it, but someone invented a sport harder than running.

The best part – The CU south campus is a two minute bike ride from my door, and the views over the front range were phenomenal!

Bring it on winter – next week I’m escaping to warmer climes.
